WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS

The Plymouth Historical Society is an all-volunteer organization, so we are always looking for volunteers — the more participants we have, the more we can accomplish! Below are just some of the ways you can support our work.

Times are estimated, and may be on the optimistic side. ;–)

If you have questions, feel free to contact the Board Members listed.

LIGHT COMMITMENT

DOCENT — 3+ Hrs/Yr

3 Hrs (Saturdays 10–1, Mid-March—Mid-December)

Kathy Kelsey  (kmkelsey@plymouthnhhistory.org) This is a great way to get introduced to the Society. Docents act as hosts during our open hours at the museum. We staff in pairs, so you will always be working with an experienced partner.

COLLECTOR — 12+ Hrs/Yr

1 Hr/Mo

Lisa Lundari (lisalundari@gmail.comWe need to be  proactive in collecting artifacts of current events which will become tomorrow's history. If you would be willing to clip articles of interest from newspapers, brochures of new businesses, menus of new restaurants, photos of parades and other events, please do so and bring to Old Webster Courthouse for the archives. This does not take a lot of effort, just a new way of looking at things — a new awareness — and you can make a big difference for the future!

AS NEEDED (PROJECT-SPECIFIC VOLUNTEER)

Time Commitment: 3+ hours as needed

On occasion we need some extra hands for spring clean-up inside and out, fundraising events, organizing assets, identifying photos, etc.
